What is the lowest live limit a player could live off?
10/20?

Well, some people live off minimum wage, and I'm quite sure you could make more than 1bb/hr at live 3/6.

Re: What is the lowest live limit a player could live off?
6-12 has been the commonly accepted lvl for a meager living. It naturally depends on the games one plays in too. Some 10-20 games are not worth 1 big bet per hr, while the 6-12 game 2 tables away is worth 2.5 big bets per hour consistently.
Like so much in poker.....it depends. |

Re: What is the lowest live limit a player could live off?
I used to make a decent (not great) living off 50 hours a week playing 4/8.
Wouldn't want to do it again, though. |

Re: What is the lowest live limit a player could live off?
I know one person who makes most of their living at the 15/30 game at the Bellagio. I couldn't imagine earning a modest living at anything lower. Even at 15/30, from what I can tell, it's not a very healthy lifestyle.

I would guess that 6-12 is the bare minimum.

I would say $15-$30.
Even if a player could not beat the game for one full big bet an hour. Making $25 an hour amounts to 48,750 in a typical year of 1950 hours. |

What do you consider enough to "live off"? I know people who live off less than I could make in a 2/4 game.
