Default Theoretical question for new accounts

Suppose you bring in the mail one day. In the mail is a CD offering fabulous bonuses from a site which you have heard of, but have not yet had the chance to play at yet.

Here's my question:

In general, what is the percent chance that this mass mailing CD is from an affiliate and not from the house? Would your answer to this question change for poker or casinos?

Just curious what people thought. I assume that since my spam comes from affiliates, so does my junk mail CDs. Extending this logic, AOL is therefore the world's biggest affiliate.
