When you did your True challenge, did you 8-table shorthanded games? Or did you have full ring mixed in?

8 6-max games is a LOT to handle.

This is especially true at Stars where the hands come pretty fast i believe (especially on the high-speed tables).

ODoyle was mixing full with short I think while 8-tabling.

Did he also mix limit with no-limit as well?? That's a bit crazy for 8-tabling while super-duper tired.
Action goes a little bit slower at True though.

To Something Clever and MicroBob,

I 8 tabled whatever was avalable at True, so I did play alot of tables short handed even if they were full ring game tables. I also mixed limit and NL.

However,

There is no way I would contemplate doing this, (Official race to see who wins a Porsche first? Who's up for it?)

I acutally lost a little money doing the True challenge, around $ 300 comes to mind, so to think I could even play breakeven poker playing 8 tables of SH for 40 hours a week would be crazy.

Yea, if someone else wants bragging rights as the first person to win a porsche in less than a year, they can have it, as I think it will take a better man (or woman) than me.

this is one of those insane marathon type things that I will actually NOT be participating in.

A Porche (or other fancy car) doesn't interest me.
I want the major tourney events.

Speaking of races, I think Stars should give a little bonus of some kind to make supernova and have a leaderboard and all that kind of crap.

It would add a little entertainment to January methinks.

This is actually a pretty nifty idea.

i might be into this but I think one marathon is enough for me. But it would be fun to see...and would encourage even more players to rack up those FPP's even faster.

I think you guys are on to something here given all the publicity stars got from the gigabet leaderboard challenge. It would be interesting if Stars offered a Ferrari instead of the Porsche for just the FIRST person to hit 3,000,000 FPP's and then revert back to Porsches for 3 mil.

Yeah, Stars is definitely faster than Party, especially on the high-speed tables.

I used to get a solid 100 hands per table per hour when I 4-tabled there.

I've found that I can 6-table 6-max profitably if I drop to easy limits like 1/2. But I wouldn't try it in my usual game.

In my figures, I used only an assumption of 75 hands per table per hour, which would make my 4 table example much better if anyone cares to figure that.
