Default 25NL, folding my set on the flop

Villian is 13/3/2, pretty weak/tight.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

This board might encourage a big draw to push with fold equity. Lots of overpair potential too. You have lots of outs aginst everything but the set of 5's and there you still have at least 1

Folding here is not good in my opinion. The big non-push bet says he is strong but would be happy not to get any callers. Top set would likely make a PSR or min raise or even just call here.

I push here.

NO

call and expect 2 pairs, overplayed overpairs majority of the time.

DONT DO THIS

if he has the straight, you still have a decent shot sucking out on him.

DONT FOLD sets in these spots.

Go ahead and push here.

Situations:
- He has the lower set (22), you've got him crushed
- He's on a straight draw, you're way ahead
- He has the straight.... you're behind, but you still have a 33% chance or so of hitting your full house

If he has 55 for the top set, ohhhhhhhh well.

I'm not really going to disagree with anything that's said here, because what everyone here is saying in these responses is correct. And I can't tell you how pukey it is to even think about folding a set on the flop.

But this particualar villian is absolutely not semi-bluffing. He's not pushing a draw, and he's not checkraising slowplaying an overpair on this board. If he had raised first time around, I 3-bet, he put this raise in I push without batting an eye...

But the WAY he arrived here by smooth calling that first bet and then putting in this huge raise made me think he knew I liked my hand and didn't seem to care if I pushed, and that makes me think he had either 22, 55, or a straight.

Ok, flame away

Rethink that. The way he arrived at his $20 bet makes me like your hand even more. If he had 55 or a straight, he should be raising the first time. He can't count on you to raise it behind him, and he would hate to see a heart hit on the turn. I think he's drawing here (Unless he specifically has Ah4h) and I get my money in the middle.

If your view of vilian is really weak tight, you could find a fold here. But at 25NL against unknown, I call.
