Re: Did I pick a good time to slowplay?
[ QUOTE ]
Turn: A raise here is in order. What beats you here? If he is betting because he has an 8, he's behind. If anyone has a T, you may have a better kicker. [/ QUOTE ] If someone has the other T then you're chopping and the kicker does not matter but I agree - you have the near nuts when the only hands that beat you or can outdaw you on the river would have raised either PF, on the flop or both. You have to raise this turn and pray that one of these goons catches a flush on the river. |

Re: Did I pick a good time to slowplay?
[ QUOTE ]
This isn't slowplaying, this is just bad. Hero missed a HUGE amount of money. You have a strong hand, but there is a flush and straight draw out there. When slowplaying you cannot allow opponents to draw to a better hand. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, what he said. You have the best hand on the flop (pocket 8 or T8 are the only two that are ahead). All the other hands are less likely to win than you, betting here is a +EV situation in addition to making everybody pay for a card. |
