If someone has the other T then you're chopping and the kicker does not matter but I agree - you have the near nuts when the only hands that beat you or can outdaw you on the river would have raised either PF, on the flop or both. You have to raise this turn and pray that one of these goons catches a flush on the river.

Yeah, what he said.

You have the best hand on the flop (pocket 8 or T8 are the only two that are ahead). All the other hands are less likely to win than you, betting here is a +EV situation in addition to making everybody pay for a card.
