Default Need Advice QUICK, problem!

I apologize because of the unrelated nature of this post to poker, but it is about gambling and casino policy (which many here know much about) so I was hoping somone could help me out.

A friend of mine just hit a progressive jackpot in Lake Tahoe, but he is underage. Right when he hit it, he called his brother over to the machine to claim the prize. His brother is now trying to claim the prize, but my friend and I just left the casino. I am not underage, and I do not approve of underage gambling, but what do you think will happen? The prize is 2,600 dollars, I am absolutely sure they will check the tapes.

Anyone know what casino policy is with this? If this thread needs to be closed, I understand, for I do not approve of underage gambling at all, was just wondering what you all think will happen in this situation. A quick response would be most appreciated, thank you in advance.

You guys are probably screwed. Especially with the the prevalence of Internet casinos and poker rooms, there's no reason to be in a B&M underage.

I don't think there will be a problem.

My gf's little brother hit a $1000 jackpot on a slot machine a couple weeks ago. He's 20. He asked the lady next to him to claim it for him, and it was fine. He gave her like 80 bucks in return.

They won't pay. You could make a stink that they didn't check the ID when they sold the coins to the undrage person, but you'll have a hard time.

Many years ago, I had the same problem with my underage girlfriend. She hit a jackpot and before I could get over from the blackjack table (I was 21), they were asking for her ID. A big stink ensued and I called my dad, who is an attorney, and also happened to be in Vegas at the time.

It was at the Golden Nugget downtown and he got a meeting with Steve Wynn. My dad was a fairly high roller at the time and, during the meeting with Wynn, he said something like, "Well, my friends at the Rivera . . . " And Wynn interrupted him with, "F*ck your friends at the Rivera."

Other than that, they got along well. The jackpot was $1,000. Wynn gave my dad $500 and they called it a day.

Send recent photographs of all three of you to the casino security and be sure to include a letter mocking them as to how you got over on them.
