new to PLO, KQJT top 2 + OESD facing flop 3-bet
new to PLO, I have no idea how to play this game. No reads, is the flop raise standard, and what do you do after its pot 3-bet? Just get it all-in like I did? Sorry if this hand is overly standard; need to get a feel for some basic situations and coming from shorthanded LHE I might have a tendency to overvalue hands.

After the reraise you know he has 9-10, but you have the odds to draw out. Sorry you didn't hit.

Re: new to PLO, KQJT top 2 + OESD facing flop 3-bet
Does he have the odds? Seems pretty slim, especially because, if the opponent isn't playing total junk, has likely counterfeited many of his outs. And, the opponent (again, if he's not a complete donk) could have redraws to a higher straight (which could split) or a fullhouse.

4 9s, 4 As, 2 Qs, 2 Js, so 12 outs and we're getting better than 2:1 on calling the reraise. What's with the cap? Figuring it's going in anyway?

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, pretty much, if I call the flop re-raise I'm getting odds to call the turn since I'll only have $6 or so left, so I don't think it matters either way. Does the flop re-raise always mean T9 here? |

You have a nice drawing hand, but I think your flop raise is incorrect. I would just flat call.
BTW, why didn't you raise preflop??? |

Strictly speaking, it suggests T9 + redraws. [/ QUOTE ] At PLO $25 (and higher many times), the naked 9-10 throws their stack in this pot so fast your head would spin. A couple of your 12 outs (at least one of the 9s) will be counterfeited. I call here, so that a multi-way pot can build, and see how the hand develops. You have position. You're up against a probable made straight, with possible redraws. A couple of your outs are probably dead, and there isn't a huge amount of dead money in the pot. Barring some kind of read that negates the above, isolating and getting all your money in heads up isn't the play here. |

Re: new to PLO, KQJT top 2 + OESD facing flop 3-bet
If you're going to give the opponent credit for a made straight, then you can't assume there are 4 9s out there... then, you have to ask yourself if the opponent is good. If he does have a made straight, is he likely to have counterfeited some of my other outs?
I may be giving the opponent too much credit (we don't know from the post if the villain is decent or a total donk). I just think its worth noting in the analysis. |

I raise pot PF then pot it if checked to on the flop.
With how you played it I would just call on the flop and hopefully encourage more callers. |
