problem: tables not displaying at tribeca

I'm having a strange problem with the tribeca network. the tables dont show up (it just says retrieving). i've tried both doyles and VC - tried re-installing - tried turning off firewalls etc - tried the online help and they gave me the very helpful advice of re-installing the software (their solution to everything). anyone had this prob?
