It's not terrible to limp with J9s. I do it in LP. I'd call hesitantly here.

we nearly have the odds versus a straight since hero is shortstacked. couple that fact with villain's range being wider here then it is a very easy call.

Oh yeah. It is a call, no question. I am only hesitating so I can remove any nearby sharp objects out of handsreach for when he sucks out on me.

Obvious call if you had a full stack.

I'm pretty suprised how many of you think I'm ahead most of the time. I put him around 70% of the time having the straight here.

it's not about being ahead. it's about whether given his range the call is still +ev with the pot odds offered. you do not have to be ahead to make the call profitable.
