Re: The Sahara
[ QUOTE ]
Tell me about this monorail... where's it go? What's a ticket cost? [/ QUOTE ] The Monorail starts behind the Sahara, stops at the Hilton, then goes back up to the Strip at the Vieitian and continues South along the Strip stopping at the Flamingo, Bally's, Paris (I think), and stops at the MGM Grand. That's covers most of the Strip. The only major casinos you can't get close to are Mandalay Bay and the Luxor on the Southern tip of the Strip and the Stardust and Circus Circus on the Northern end (because it runs east of the Strip to get to the off-Strip Hilton). |

Re: The Sahara
The tourny was just 3 days a week, but now became every day as on this past Monday. Sounds like a huge investment in the Poker Room to me, it looks like it is begining to pay off with the Monorail for them.
On a related note, I hear the Sahara is on the block and is for sale. I spoke with a manager of a hotel/restauraunt group that I know which is looking to acquire it's first casino property in Vegas. I asked if the Sahara was one of the propertys, she could not confirm or deny. Anyone know what other properties are for sale in the market? TT in da club [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |
