Hi Notorius:
I had a very brief conversation with Gus about a year ago and told him that we would be interested in the book. It's the only time I have ever really talked to him. He stated that they did not yet have a publisher. No one ever got back to me and my sources, which do not have to be accurate, are indicating that the book is not being finished. Best wishes, Mason

I have seen it. Nothing too special for a 2+2er I think. I think the title is misleading. It's really meant as part of a 4 part series in the DVD set on the site. It just talks about more advanced things than what was in the other DVD's, not really all that advanced overall. Position and opening hands, stealing the blinds, pot odds, implied odds, flop, turn and river play. He does teach how he plays though, to a certain extent. He recommends betting alot of flops and stealing the blinds almost 100% of the time from the button and CO. He doesn't check raise or slowplay that much, he justs a hell of a lot, and that certainly shines through in the DVD. Overall though, I wouldn't buy it if you have read anything on NLHE. A big letdown for me, since I am a huge Hansen fan.

I agree. I also found the DVD distracting, because Gus is sitting in a bar with a fly constantly buzzing around his head.

I also thought it was funny how badly produced and edited it was. Some topics were actually spelled wrong, and Gus gets nervous on TV, causing him to forget to breath, then actually have to stop, breath, swallow, and keep going.
