PP-standard size of bets preflop
ok, i know the 3BB rule, and i know its not right in most of the levels.
So, what do people opening raise preflop at what levels. so far ive been betting: level 1, 75 level 2, 120 level 3, 150 level 4, 250 level 5, 500 level 6, 700 obviously, i push if im short, and ive never been at level 7 or above where i wasnt pushing due to the blinds simply being so big. is this bad? should i bet bigger earlier? bigger later? smaller ever? help appreciated. Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
of course it depends, silly.
when you've had a limpfest and you have Aces, you need to re-RAISE maybe t125. If you're early position and notice the same, maybe t100 is good, maybe less if its an extremely tight table. |

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
this is for open raises, as i stated.
i understand if there are limpers or raisers, your raise is different. i have no problem there, just want to know what a good open raise is. |

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
I still think what I said has some merit, depending on how tight or passive any particular table happens to be.
Otherwise 3bbl + a few chips for the sake of varying my bets is how I usually approach the raises. the 3bb is fine, and yours too are fine, any deviation from that should be for tight/passive tables brilliant |

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
I raise significantly more than this at really loose tables. I find that at the 5 and 10 dollar tables and somewhat at the 20's in the early levels nobody will fold anything for less than a 100 chip raise.

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
I'm not a fan of these huge oversized raises that people here seem to recommend. |

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
im not either. but im not a fan of seeing a flop 5 handed when holding AA in level 1.
im not decided, so i guess its suck it and see and if it needs tweaking, ill cross that bridge when i see it. thanks for the input guys. |

Re: PP-standard size of bets preflop
I just get em to commit
He ended up calling with KQo, so yeah there's still plenty of donks at the $20's. |
