KK preflop question
Stars $55 rebuy
blinds 50/100 Stacks: me T2710, MP1 T11,125, MP2 T4510 Mp1 has arrgo since building a nice stack, MP2 could very well be a complete idiot. was multitabling but saw him in an all in pot with some real hopeless cheese. folded to MP1 who makes it T300, MP2 calls, folded to me in BB. How much and why? |

Re: KK preflop question
You could get cute and do something less than a push and then push flop, or you could just push. Is this during the rebuy period?
Anyway, since an A flopping sucks really bad, I just push. |

Re: KK preflop question

Re: KK preflop question
I'd definitely raise. This smells like a double-up (or even triple-up) opportunity to me. I'd raise to ~1000, maybe as much as 1250 (if I was sure they would call), with the intention of pushing any flop.

Re: KK preflop question
i think the minimum you could raise would be 1000. That pretty much pot commits you anyway, so if you think you could get one call, push. Against a complete idiot (MP2), just push. No use finessing him.

Re: KK preflop question
I make it 1200 to go and am pushing pretty well all flops, including those with an A.
Pushing can look like you don't want a call, so its not a bad play, but with 2 players involved already, MP1 will want a monster to go to the felt with you here, but may call off another 900 PF "because he can afford it" You can get really cute and check and hope someone makes TP <K as well. Re: KK preflop question
My recommendation is from lots of time in the small buy-ins ($1, 5, 10's). I would not be opposed to pushing pre-flop.

Re: KK preflop question
I'm pushing here because I'm pushing with a fairly wide range against the opponents whose descriptions you gave.

Re: KK preflop question
That was my exact thinking as well. If you can be sure that you'll get one caller, easy push. Otherwise, a good size raise will probably keep them in the hand even though they have junk like K-7s, etc. Some people really, really want to see a flop. Many times have I played a hand like this, and been called by QJs (or similar), then the Q-x-x flop comes, and it's a race to see who can go all-in first.
