AC - Stud High/Low
Does anyone here know which casinos in Atlantic City spread 7 Card Stud High/Low games, and what the limits are available? I've recently become intrigued by the game, and would definitely be willing to play it at a lower limit as an alternative to Holdem to liven things up a bit.
I know a lot of the casinos spread regular stud games, but I've never really paid attention to all of the stud games, because in the past I only have played No Limit Holdem. |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
I think it's part of a mixed $10-20 game at the Taj, with the other half being Omaha H/L.
It was on the board at Tropicana last week, but there wasn't an interest list. |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
If you haven't already done so, post this over in the stud forum. A lot of those guys play in AC.
I know they have games at the Borg and Taj. I haven't looked around too much, but I think you can find a bunch of low limit games at different casinos. But don't go into this game thinking...gee look at all the pretty cards...isn't this fun... These players can be very strong. The games very tight. Dave |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
Hi MMan710,
The Taj spreads a 3/6 two-way game (w/omaha 8). The people who play are mostly old, but pretty nice. If you go there a couple of times you'll see the same faces playing the game. They're not terribly loose, but not rocks, either. And no one is super-skilled in either game. I was told the Trop spreads a 15/30 stud h/l game, but I don't know if that's true or not. |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
Taj spreads 2 2-way games (Omaha8 & Stud8)
3/6 w/ 1/2 Kill (no ante the stud 8 round) 10/20 w/ 1/2 Kill Both are very good games. I hear the 15/30/45 Stud8 at the Trop has been dormant for some time. I see alot of these players in the 10/20 2-way game at the Taj. NJC |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
Actually I played in the 3/6 2-way this past Sat morning while waiting for the 10/20 2-way game to start up.
Never played the 3/6 game so when we got to the Stud8 round I was perplexed with the no ante structure. Strange indeed. |

Re: AC - Stud High/Low
What's cool about the 3/6 game is that occasionally some hot shot will sit down and start raising and reraising almost any hand. This usually upsets the regulars, but they'll keep putting money in the pot as they're complaining.
Grumpy people are funny sometimes. |
