Default Tunica Tournaments

I will be going to Tunica next month and would like to know of any weekly tournaments. I will be there on a Monday, Teusday and Wednesday. How are the players there? What are the Buyins, Rebuys, etc. How is the blind structure compared to your starting chips? Any info about the tournaments or ring games would be greatly appreciated.

The Grand has am/early afternoon tournies. The games, buy-ins, rebuys, etc. vary by day. Call to confirm. Or, their tournament director posts here, so you could PM him. His handle is Randy Refeld.

Also, the Gold Strike was having tournies early in the week for several months last year. They were sort of a promotional thing, as the winner of any given tourny got a spot in a December freeroll for a WPO main event seat (on top of normal prize money). Point being... I don't know if they have stopped the tournies now that the WPO is over. Again, call.

Also, try Sam's Town, but I played recently in a NL HE tourny there and the juice was absurd.

Hope this helps. I pretty much stick to live action but maybe this'll get you started.

George

The Grand has 8 tournaments a week. At noon on Mon and Wed as well as 7om on Tues we have a no-limit hold'em. It costs $15 to enter and has $10 rebuys and a $20 add-on. Tues and Thur at noon we have a limit hold'em that costs $15 to enter and then has $10 rebuys and a $20 add-on. Fri at 10 am and Sat at 11 am we have a no-limit hold'em that has a $65 buy-in and a single $50 rebuy. On Friday nights at 7 pm we have a no-limit hold'em with a $220 buy-in.

We have restructed all of out tournaments to allow more play. Tonight for the $220 buy-in we had 59 players (we guarentee a 10k prize pool on Fri nights).

Default Randy; How far back is the pay off in the 220 dollar buy-in?

Do you have this tournament every Friday night?
Thanks

This is a weekly event (7 pm Fri). 9 places are paid with at least 36 players. We had 59 for the first one without much advertising and I expect the number to grow. The $220 is a $200 buy-in $10 entry fee and $10 dealer toke (optional). With T2500 starting with 5-15 blinds playing 30 minute levels I feel this is a great value for the players.

Randy,

This is a great value for the players. I just received a mailing from the Tunica Horseshoe for an upcoming tourney. Their's is a $100 buy in with a $20 entry fee. Your structure is far more favorable for the players.

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
