Default To tip or not to tip

If one is serious about making money, should you tip at all? It's the dealers job to deal where as a waitress makes chump change per hour and is doing you a service. The dealer just deals cards and he doesn't tip back if you get sucked out on a good hand. Tipping can add up over a year so I'm thinking don't tip'em.

Because you appear clueless I'll take a shot at explaining why this is super dumb.

Dealers provide a service just like the wait staff and they are not making a ton of money because they are expected to be getting tips. So not tipping them because you think they make a living wage is super dumb.

If you are morally opposed to tipping, knock yourself out, save yourself a couple of bucks here and there, but don't try to justify it by saying the dealers job is that much different than any other service employee.

I was actually reading an article about tipping earlier. Dealers are relying on those tips as part of their normal income. It said that if dealers weren't receiving tips on a normal basis, the house would probably have to increase the rake to give dealers a better hourly rate. Also, nobody wants to pay higher rakes.

Dealers are everyday Joe's just trying to scrape out a living, I think we can all afford to toss them an occasional chip or 2.

Sure it's OK not to tip, just play on the internet.
