Default K8o Blind Battle

Villian is about 21/16 over about 150 hands. Seems decent enough. We haven't had any big confrontations that come to mind. Anyone play this differently?

I normally 3-bet the flop and lead turn.

I'd also lean towards 3betting the flop. Even though he's a TAG, a lot of cards are gonna freeze him up and make him check the turn, or not call down with a worse hand if you checkraise. Also there are several draws that he could take a free card with.

Finally, getting 3bet on the turn will often put you to a much tougher decision than getting capped on the flop will.

3bet and lead the turn... generally my philosophy in this spot is that an 8 is too small of a pair to go for this checkraise because there are too many overcards that can come that will scare him from betting or scare you from checkraising.
