Default One day soon I will have the discipline to fold this river

MP is loose passive.

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Flop: (8.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB calls, MP calls, CO folds.

Turn: (5.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, MP bets, Hero raises, BB folds, MP 3-bets, Hero calls.

River: (11.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

Is this how I should respond to the turn donk bet? This was the first 3-bet by anyone at the table after 160+ hands and I still call the river.

Given that he's a loose passive I think I just call down here.

Turn's fine, river's fine. Don't sweat it. You'll have plenty of spots of smart laydowns. Top two on the river heads up for one bet ain't the time to start.

Your right, them are tough laydowns. But if you trust your read, then it was played like a classic flush draw. Other than the fact the villain didn't check/raise the turn.

Played fine. Definetly don't fold this river. I expect to be shown a two pair hand, and occasionally trips. Most likely you are ahead. I might even cap the turn or raise the river.

Don't confuse discipline with stupidity.

I think the fact that I can't fold the river makes my turn raise wrong. But if I can fold this river it makes it right (if 3betted of course.)

Maybe I'm just being results oriented. But there was just no way this player had anything less than a flush 50 to 1 times let alone 12 to 1 here and I still called.

My main question here is why you would doubt that is possible for villain to hold A2 or A3?

He would check/raise with those, but he wouldn't put in a 3bet with 3 spades on board.
