In my experience, it is pretty much impossible to go to a strip club and not get hit up by three or four women an hour who want to give you a lap dance. I'm pretty sure it's how they make their real money. How much it costs is going to vary from place to place, but $30 for one song seems to be pretty much the going rate.

The last time I was out at a strip club was with a bunch of graduate students, several of whom had never been to one before. These guys were catatonic, so when Kianna the Asian stripper with aggressively fake boobs came around soliciting for lap dances, she couldn't get a word out of anybody. Then the following interchange:

As the above suggests, I've always found strip clubs to be more reliable at stimulating the surreal rather than the erotic. At this same classy joint, I was going up to tip one of the dancers who was crawling around the bar, and when she got to the regular next to me, he pulled out a flashlight, turned it on and started staring at her now spotlight vagina. Awesome.

$5, $10, or $20 depending on day and time. There's a coupla clubs here that do $10 all day Sunday and on Monday nights, $5 all day Tuesday (but songs are only about 2 mins long).

$20 is the most common price. This holds in most of Texas: Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio. I have seen a few clubs, tho that might have been in Cali, where it's $100 for like X songs in a private room, which was basically a scam.

Happy Endings depend on the girl as well as the establishment. You shouldn't have to pay more than $40. If you are, you're in the wrong place and/or are being fleeced.

If you just happen to find yourself at a strip club and don't want to drop mad cash, (1) befriend the bartender and get your drinks at double strength, and (2) tip the girls when they're on stage, it only takes $1 and is usu the best value there.
