Default When Did Absolute Start Raking The .50/1.00 Games at $1.00

I was playing .50/1.00 LHE on Absolute today and I noticed that they are now raking the pots starting at $1.00, I noticed this because I was on the BB it folded around to the SB and the SB called and I checked and when the flop came down the pot was .95 ,they had raked .05.I thought that Absloute starting raking their .50/1.00 tables at $2.00, how long has this been changed?

As far as I know they have always done this. It is pretty lame (especially if you play Stud).

It is awful, but still better than Pacific who rakes 0.01 every $0.20.

Isn't this better though considering that there is always a bonus available?

Great. Now the math police are going to come out and use algebra or whatever to chart the intersection of rake vs. bonus and why its -EV for the pot to be raked at that rate using exponential mathematics. Good job.

The pot has to be raked .25 to count towards the bonus. So if they're just taking .05 out, it's pure profit for them.

No, rakeback does not get at least a quarter back. It gets you much less than that since you have to share that $0.05 with the other people at the table.

I used my pokertracker and discovered that, yep, my bonus for last month was more than rake collected from me. YAWOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even with the early rake collection.

ugh don't argue - if you'd put in the entire .05 yourself (somehow) you'd get 1/4 of it back, actually more as I'm sure AP divides the rake by players, meaning TAGs get a higher 'overall' percentage than average players

obviously you don't get 1/4 of the table's total rake back

they don't profit 100% off of my share of the rake - they only profit <75% (not taking into account bonus)
