Pocker tracker & Yahoo
I'm about to get pockertracker. After going through some of their FAQ I noticed that there may be short comings using Yahoo email. The post was dated 2003 so I don't know if it still applies. I want to set up an account at Poker Stars but need to know if using my Yahoo email account will cause problems down the road. Any legitimate input will be appreciated.

Re: Pocker tracker & Yahoo
google for "free pop3" and pick one. I can't remember the name of the last one I used. you can PM me your email address if you want a gmail invite, they have pop3 access for free also.

Re: Pocker tracker & Yahoo
Way back when, before Party saved HH's on hard drive I used to get HH mailed to my yahoo account. I would then highlight the histories and copy/paste them to notepad. Then trim the junk in the body of the history except for the actual history itself.
(just open one up and you'll see what I mean) It was a pain in the ass but, it worked. |

Re: Pocker tracker & Yahoo
Pokerstars can save hand histories directly on your hard drive, so you don't need to use email to get them into poker tracker (although you will need it for tournament summaries if you play tournies).

Re: Poker tracker & Yahoo
Do a search for "ypops". It is a program that lets you use your yahoomail account as a POP3 client. I had reservations when I downloaded it, but it works with all the e-mail features in pokertracker perfectly.
