Default checking thru the turn and betting this river?

My only read is that villain earlier in the game 3-bet KJo from bb to a MP1 open raiser.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls, <font color="#CC3333">MP caps</font>, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12.33 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP bets</font>, Hero calls, BB folds.

Turn: (7.16 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
MP checks, Hero checks.

River: (7.16 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
MP checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>,

seems fine. when you check through the turn i cant imagine him not betting the river with KQ/KJ, so it really looks like JJ/TT/99 and he will often pay off with those.

I love this response. The poster may be correct, but he doesn't help either me or himself? Maybe if you explain your position, you'll solidify your own poker theory and help a fellow poster in the process. Or maybe you'll think of something you never considered before.

He checked, it's not very likely we are behind. He may call a bet, so we bet.

Yes, I understand we aren't giving up much by checking it through, but I think he'll call down with worse hands.

You are right, my response was bad.
