I'd call the river. Also I nearly always checkraise the flop.

I don't fold, but you probably can, but folding means you don't get to see what beat you so I call. There is no logic behind my answer besides, internte + big pot + shania = call.

That and the fact that it's relatively hard for dude to have a 9 here given how the hand played out.

Villain could have 99 here, but that makes his flop/turn play rather odd IMO. I think he is bluff-raising a scare card here, not necessarily a lot, but often enough that you have a fairly easy call given the pot odds. (And J8 doesn't seem that likely to me given the action.)

I do too, but I like to lead sometimes to mix it up. I probably check raise ~90% of the time.

"mixing it up" is important, but i think you need to check-raise this flop situation every time. there is too much to lose.

I don't really follow. What do you mean by "there is too much to lose"? Outside of betting the nuts when checked to on the river and things like that, I think it's quite a bold statement to say you need to do anything everytime, let alone check raise a 3 way flop with TP and a 5 kicker. Just to be clear, I almost always do check raise the flop; but I can't really see how it's something I absolutely have to do every time.

im not saying it as an absolute; but with a guy behind him who will likely call one, you can trap the whole field for 2 bets (rather than the 1 bet that you did). unless of course, you have some read that MP will likely raise here, then you can bet with the intention of 3betting.
