Yes, I think checking might be the best. If you bet, you're not going to be comfortable with anything else except a fold. If villain calls, it sucks, and if villain raises, it sucks even more.

I check and if he checks behind, I bet the river. If he bets turn, I call, and what I would do on the river would depend on the player. I'm guessing you had a read on him since you both have pretty big stacks?

hmm no reads? river I either blocking bet or check/call up to 2/3rds pot. You could be up against any Ace two pair unless you have a read that says otherwise (particularly AJ). I think river decision is marginal EV contingent on a read in either direction. I don 't mind folding this here, well played

I like betting pot on flop, and checkraising the turn. He's forced to bet in that spot no matter what he has IMO. So by checking you have a chance to induce a bluff and then when you raise he drops everything except the Q. If he checks behind then you lead out with a value bet on the river unless a spade falls... then i'd I c/c the river.
