guy was total ass vs. Nolie at the WPT Borgata final table.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was going to mention that. He did like 4 lousy things at that final table, but Noli polished him off anyway.

BB has KdKx and CS has Jc Td BB is obviously an idiot for betting out b/c he now gives CS an out. He can just call the river. CS's raise on the river is ridiculous, only going to get called by something that beats him and the BB isn't going to fold the Qd. Opinions?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not so sure the title of this thread is exactly correct.

Maybe it should read "Poker player makes a very poor decision, loses his stack"?

The other player didn't seem to understand the rule involving bets made out of turn.

I saw Shoten all over Vegas during the WSOP Me shilling his book and chatting it up with spectators/players, although I don't think I saw him speaking with anyone under the age of 65+. He seemed like a hit with the senior crowd, though.

quads and aces full, geez... this isn't the internet you know...

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, and being that I'm also clueless could you explain what the angle is here?

[ QUOTE ]
CS's bet has to stand, but I don't think BB knows this, as he is clueless.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't know this either, please explain.

[ QUOTE ]
BB now bets 400 and CS moves in(Which he no longer has to do b/c the action before him has changed.)

[/ QUOTE ]

Evidently his prior bet doesn't have to stand.

I'm gettin dizzy.

If he was planning to push for real why is the first/second push an angle?

Flame away if ya must.

google.com is your friend

Angle-Shooting
Using unfair tactics.

Usage: A poker player who uses various underhanded, unfair methods to take advantage of inexperienced opponents. The difference between an angle shooter and a cheat is only a matter of degree. What a cheat or thief does is patently against the rules; what an angle shooter does may be marginally legal, but it's neither ethical nor gentlemanly. Nor is it in the spirit of the game. Unfortunately, poker is not a gentleman's game. In addition to learning how to protect yourself against cheating players, you must learn to watch out for the angle shooters. See "Angle".
