I'm guessing what will happen is we will figure out how to add computer type stuff to the human body, 'cyborg' style, and this would be superior to a straight up human or straight up comp

I cant decide to fear, or love the possibility of the Technological Singularity.
Basically, the point at which we build an AI smart enough to build a AI smarter than itself, and so on, and so on. Read Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect for an excellent fictional piece about it.
