Default Please help with wi-fi issue (OOT)

My neighbors wife said I could get free wi-fi from them, she doesnt care. Well, Her husband put up a damn block/password/key or whatever this morning and now I cant log on. The bad thing is she is in New York until the 19th. Anyway to get by this password key?

You need to obtain the key from him (or her when she returns). There is no way to decipher the information that does not involve obtaining the key or the utilization of surreptitious methods.

maybe he decided that he didn't want his wife sharing their WiFi with their neighbor.


Or else he just didn't know about his wife telling you that...and he is just doing the responsible thing and setting up a password.


If you ask him (or her) for the password you could also offer to pay part of their bill for letting you share their WiFi.
you shouldn't have to pay 50%....but it would be a nice gesture (that they might turn-down...but even if they don't it's a reasonable thing for you to do).

Friend of mine told his neighbor that he was picking up his WiFi...was it okay if he used it also?? he's willing to pay part of the bill if that's necessary.
his neighbor said "don't worry about it. go ahead. enjoy my WiFi."

Something to consider I guess.

All you have to do is go over there and reset the router. Hope the wife is ok with a little B&E
