Default Oaks 30-60 Game

I noticed the Oaks (Emeryville, CA) is going to begin spreading a 30-60 game every Friday starting this Friday, December 21. Starts at 2 pm. You can call to reserve a seat.

Please post here if this game goes. If you play, I'd be interested in hearing if the players want it to go other nights as well.

It's too rich for me, and I won't be in town this week. If I am there there the following Friday, I'll ask around. Maybe you can send DanS as your guinea pig.

Boy, that could get expensive. Ask Dan what great heads up calls I make on him.
Oh, and if you see him, tell him not to be such a stingy bastard when it comes to tipping.

Played at the Oaks last night and there was a flyer that said the 30-60 will be spread at 2pm on this Friday 1/21 and subsequent Fridays.

And if you see Sossman, tell him to get a new prescription so he can properly identify a 25% tip. Dumbass.

The game nearly broke around 8, though. It got down to 3-handed for about half an hour before starting to fill up again. Looks like the locals don't like to play 5-handed or less. It was full up again by 10 or 11, and it was a spectacularly good game for a while. Super loose, pretty passive, but this was mostly built around this one guy who was clearly in over his head who'd sat down for the minimum buyin and ran it up to at least $2K. A few pretty decent to very good locals, couple of pretty bad locals, and a couple of horrible locals. Most everyone there seemed to know each other.

Supposedly this week's game was much better than last week's.

Thanks for the report.

I might head over sometime next month if it's consistently good.
