Default Definition of a \"wheelcheck\"?

I see this term in relation to poker chips. What is a wheelcheck and how does it differ from a poker chip?

I have a question on the same topic. This reminds me of something I heard on TV that I wasn't sure about.

People seemed to be calling chips "checks". Is a "check" a chip?

A wheelcheck is a chip used on the roulette game. Usually without denomination markings.

A check is another term for a chip.
