Default KQo preflop

I'm playing Poker Stars 10/20.

I'm dealt KQo UTG+1. UTG limps. I don't know much about the players at the table. What should I do? (This scenario happened to me on 2 consecutive rounds.)

what should you do? get up from the table and go down to 5/10, because you're asking questions like this

it depends on the limper. without information, you can assume he generally sucks, so an overlimp is fine.

I played 5/10 for 100 hours, was up 2.4BB/100 and figured it was a good time to move up to 10/20.

At 5/10, I've known people to overlimp, raise, and fold with this hand. I haven't been playing 10/20 for long and I just wanted to get a general consensus.

In your position I'd either fold (70%) or raise (30%). In a later position I'd raise (70%) or call (30%). Depends on the limper.

As KQo is the minimum hand a decent player would limp in with utg in a full game, calling his limp in early position is pretty dubious. Unless utg has much lower opening standards, which of course is routine online, this should be a fold the majority of the time unless the game is very passive. In late position, I would raise one limper, and limp behind multiple limpers.

Default What do you think Clarkmeister?

How about limp and fold to a raise?

Clarkmeister recommended this in a post where someone limped early with AJ. Limping and folding to a raise is a play I almost never make. This might be the spot though.

I want to work that play in. What do you think Clarkmeister?

fold unless the table is either shorthanded or very passive. You have bad position.

Not necessary to be a jerk. You could just answer the question, or not respond at all.

The first paragraph in astroglide's post was the best advice in this thread.

I raise with KQo here most of the time now.

the 'jerk' part of my response makes a valid point, and could save him money and stress
