Default action?

I ran into a few interesting scenarios today. I play 6 max 20/40, so I've never played ring til today. When you have an 8 person table, what do you do first to act with KQo? Vs unknowns and loose idiots in the blinds. How about KQs after utg opens and ure next to act? (I folded them both btw)

KQo vs 9 or 10 early it's a fold. vs 8 is a marginal call.
KQs vs an open limper is a call to encourage a multi-way pot. vs open raise I'd fold until I learned more about the player.

What do you do with these hands in 6-way?

raise the first, the second one is a close 3 bet/fold/call. If I call a raise cold often enough, I will call this, but I generally 3 bet or fold in 6 max, so calling reveals my hand too much here. I would probably take the initiative and 3 bet this in 6 max unless villain was an absolute tighty.
