Because the pot is huge and he doesn't necessarily have an 8.

I'd say the biggest reason he doesnt have an 8 is because he folded the flop. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] my mistake. changed my guess

call the flop mi amigo. He's not betting into you with AJ or something, he's got a pocket pair usually. Thus you don't mind sb staying in and you really don't want to get 3bet drawing to 6 outs.

I agree with this had I been PBOb and was bet into, by someone like me (whatever that means) I'd call too.

I agree that if you know the bb is playing well I'd just call, but against the average party yokel I raise. Is this sop or spewing?
