Default Fantasy Draft help

10 team league. Standard Scoring. Starts: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 DEF.

Draft in a couple days, and I have the last pick so my question is how do I approach picks 1.10 and 2.01.

Been feeling out the field and here is who I have a feeling will be available for me end of R1 beginning R2.

Culpepper
Portis
Harrison
James (maybe)
Holt
Holmes (maybe)
Chad Johnson
Gonzalez.

So which two should I be looking for and what type of strategy is good to go with here.

I was thinking with those 2 picks I would get RB & QB/WR. So for sure at least one RB.

Get James or Holmes if they are available. If one is still around in round 2 pick him up as well. I personally like going with another RB for both picks seeing as your next pick is 18 picks away and the value of RB's drop considerably during that span. Save your WR/QB picks for the 3rd and 4th pick as great options will still be available when it comes around.

Yeah the more I read makes me think that I should just grab the top two backs available with my back-to-back picks.

Outside of the top three QBs. You can get an equal QB in round 5-8. And Wideouts are always very deep. Especially, this year where the only two who are ahead of the pack are TO and Moss. And um..those guys have some uh...issues... yea, issues.

I'm pretty sure my first three picks this year will be running backs.

if either edge or priest are still there, and you don't pick both of them up, you deserve to lose.

At the end of round 1, unless there are a ton of the tier 2 #1 backs left, I might take a WR there (but probably only Moss or Owens).

Obviously take James and Holmes if they fall. IMO, the best strategy is usually to take the two best available backs with your first two picks.
