What do you think of this Idea ?
This post is for people who like to get an edge in whatever way they can but only legally.
Do you think you could get an edge by watching a table for about 5 hours and recording what cards hit the flop in a program and using that to decide what cards to play ? |

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
5 hours isnt quite long enough.
5 1/2 hours should be enough though. |

Do you think you could get an edge by watching a Roulette Table in Vegas and recording what numbers hit for 5 hours?

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
You're right. Given that there are so many combinations of cards, you could potentially gain an edge after maybe 3 or 4 months of analysis but by then you'd be so tired that you'd have to go to sleep. ha
Also, I meant legally to the one with the link about an attack on a server. I meant just scraping the screen with a program. |

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
First, they didn't attack the server in that link. Second, you could watch for a million months and never get an advantage.
Think of it this way. Take a fair die and start rolling, recording what number comes up each time. After a year of doing this do you think you'd be able to predict better than 1/6? Doubtful... |

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
Actually, this used to be quite possible.
We used to have certain dealers (often female) that would be so busy chatting with their stacker or anyoneelse that they would spin very consistently since they weren't paying attention. Combined with the older wheels that had higher struts between the numbers (this meant that the ball would not skip much when it landed), you could actually predict the section they would hit with enough certainty to make it quite profitable. I knew a few people (this was 25 years ago) that actually recorded numbers on specific wheels for months on end, and determined the numbers that would come up with higher frequency based on the bias that was unintentionally created by the imperfect construction of the wheel itself. These guys actually made a pile of dough doing this. With respect to RNG's, don't think so. |
