Bad 3 bet?
Full Tilt 50NL 10max
I have a SUPER tight table image. Hero ($69) Villain ($57) I am dealt KdQd UTG+3. I raise to 2. Hijack raises to 5. All else fold, I call 3. Flop: 5d4d2h I lead for 4. Villain raises to 17. I push. Retarded right? |

Re: Bad 3 bet?
Anything on villian? He has an overpair, and I doubt that we can count K and Q's as fulll outs, so i probably lay it down here.

Re: Bad 3 bet?
Well your post is missing alot of pertinent info that would basically help us decide whether it is good or bad, like reads on villain, but if your opponent can fold a high pocket pair (not likely at these stakes) then it's standard. You did say you have a supertight image so he may be doing this with crap and trying to blow you off a hand, but I dont remember that many 50 NL players thinking that much. As is I think he looks you up and only your flush draw outs are live, so you're sticking it in as a dog.

Re: Bad 3 bet?
only read i had was that he had made this RR a couple of times before with AK. but thats PF. i had no read on the flop RR except that in hindsight i realized it was highly unlikely he makes this move on me with AK (especially given my table image). i think i shat the bed on that one.

Re: Bad 3 bet?
i'd lay down to the raise, but i like how you played it otherwise.

Re: Bad 3 bet?
I like c/c better than b/3bet. B/F is the worst option IMO.

Re: Bad 3 bet?
pretty bad..he's probably got AA or KK if you are really lucky he's only got QQ or JJ so that your K outs are good and maybe your Queens...he's not folding and you raised preflop so you aren't representing a set here as you have a super tight image so he knows you didn't raise with a baby pocket pair....you look like someone with an overpair here, you are getting called by bigger overpairs that have you drawing thin but you might fold QQ or JJ....doubtful though.
