Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
I'm looking for info about the Harrah's Casino in St. Louis, basically the stakes of the poker games. I looked on the wiki website and the casino website and couldn't find anything. Can someone point me to a site that shows that info... or if anyone has played there give me a lowdown on the stakes of both limit and NL games?

"A site that shows that info":
Harrah's St. Louis Phone: 314-770-8100 (I've had plenty of luck actually calling poker rooms when I'm curious about what they spread...) |

Re: Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
Last year when it opened, they spread the following
3-6 holdem 6-12 holdem 10-20 sometimes, usually FRI and SATS 3-6 stud with a dollar ante(not good) 1-2NL 300 max 2-5NL 500 max(only saw it twice and both were on SAT) Dont forget to swipe your card to get 50cents an hour Nice room, it has a cashier cage and a snack bar in the room, the bathroom is a walk though. |

Re: Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
I was there about 6 weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. Had about 10 - 11 tables going. All 3/6, 6/12, 2/5 NL.

Re: Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
I just moved from St Louis and used to play at Harrah's a lot. They basically spread a bunch of 3-6 games, one or maybe two 6-12's (two most weekends), and three or four 2-5 500 max NL's. The NL game is pretty wild. A lot of guys come with several G's in their pocket and aren't afraid to go a few buyins. A few people usually have 3-4K on the table by the end of the night on the weekends.
For a long time there was a ridiculously high bad beat jackpot (quads or better beat, both cards play, it got well over 200k) and the backup jackpot was high too, so unless it was hit two or three times it is still really high. I haven't been there since June though. Because of the jackpot the room was crazy crowded on weekends, so you might want to get there early. If you'd rather play mid limit games go to Ameristar instead. They have 5-10 10-20 and a wild 20-40 game. The Ameristar NL is 1-2 and nitty. Also have Omaha H/L 5/10 w/ kill. Every Monday and I think some Saturdays Ameristar has a deep stack 5/10 PLO game. |

Re: Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
Good post Learnedfromtv! I was there last Thursday and they had several $3/$6 limit games and several $2/$5 no limit games spread. I did not pay attention to the bad beat jackpot. I was surprised not to find more games being spread.

What is the wiki website? Hopefully not a set up for spam.

[ QUOTE ]
I was surprised not to find more games being spread. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the main weakness of the room is that 3-6 dominates limit. I played some 6-12 there. The 6-12 regulars were always asking for more tables but they said they filled first-come first serve and the 3-6's always filled too quick, often before a second 6-12 could start even on Saturdays. Some days no 6-12, forget about 10-20 or higher. Basically in STL it's Harrah's for NL and Ameristar for limit. |

Thanks for checking the wiki. I'm going to add content from this thread now so that it'll be there for the next person.

Re: Harrah\'s St. Louis - No wiki
No, hopefully not perceived as spam. Just a site that a few of us have been working on as an auxiliary resource for all those topics where we can never find the relevant threads when we need them.
http://poker.wikicities.com is the main page http://poker.wikicities.com/wiki/Harrah%27s_St._Louis is the page I'm adding right now. The idea of a wiki is, anyone can go there and add or edit content as they feel it's appropriate. Believe it or not, the concept works really well (e.g. Wikipedia). |
