quick driving a camry in the snow question
so me and a buddy might make a run for south lake tahoe for new years. it is snowing around the area and up the highways that lead to it (i will be driving on highway 50.) thing is I don't know if it's safe to take a 96 camry and drive it in that weather? of course i will be getting chains but will i run into trouble?
i have driving in snow like this last year but it was in my buddy's four wheel truck. |

Just drive slow and you should be fine.

Re: quick driving a camry in the snow question
front wheel drive does very well in the snow IMO. The front drive cars I have had have always been stable and good on snow and ice. If the snow is really deep you might have a problem and wish you had a big 4X4, but in most cases front wheel drive does what you need it to. At least for me. I prefer it on ice to a top heavy SUV, but prefer the 4X4 in deeper snow.
