No problem, it's truly amazing the amount of misinformation there is out there about credit, especially regarding "the experts in the lending industry." Just be aware of who you're listening to....

Stacheman is exactly correct. Car dealerships use auto enhanced scores. By reducing the usage ratio on your credit cards, your score will jump rather quickly. Definately try to get those balances down, and you should be fine with your 1099's and poker related income records.

Hey x2ski, When i got my car I got my loan through fox communities CU, all I need in there is atleast 5 dollars in a savings account. Try it out, you should have no problem there.

Thanks man... I checked CommunityFirst, 'cause they're on the radio all the time, and saw the whole "checking account with consistent activity" requirement, which was an instant turn-off.

I will definitely check FCCU out.

Tek, it is usually true that you shouldn't close unused cards as this will never help your score. Having revolving credit available is typically a good thing.
