i'm dating a girl that doesnt approve of my playing. she thinks its gambling which is negative. at best she thinks its an unhealthy hobby and i should be spending some or all this time with her.

any thoughts on how to get out of this jam and still get laid? i'm looking to keep playing the same amount (~25 yrs/week) but not lose the good parts of dating. this isnt the first time a girl has been anti-online poker.

any thoughts?

Just don't tell her that you're still playing. If you can't spend time with her, make up some excuse other than "I'd rather play online poker". Honesty is not your friend in these circumstances. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Use your money to buy her a boob job. But pay off the doc to only do the left one. When she wakes up, tell her if she goes a year without opening her fat trap, you'll get her the right one.

Do what I did, explain, cajole, argue, debate, disscuss etc.

Then when you get truly frustrated take 2 weeks away from the game, teach her to play, get her hooked, then open up an online account for her, then let life continue as it should. Offcourse mine still yells at me, threatens to leave and finds fault -- but not with my playing poker online!

tell her that anything you buy her (and DO buy her nice stuff) is from poker.. and that if she wants you to stop - fine, but then she should not expect the restaurants, shopping, movies, gifts, etc b/c you will not be able to afford it
