Default AQ a day - DAY ONE

Finally got poker tracker only to discover that A,Qs is my biggest loser. So I've been overplaying it and could use some help adjusting. Inspired by Perseus, I'm asking for help improving my A,Q play.

Sorry no reads as this is pre-pocker tracker and I am reasonably new to the table.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds</font>, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 1 fold</font>, Hero raises</font>, 1 fold</font>, SB calls, 1 fold</font>, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Pretty Standard yes?

Flop: (9 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)</font>
SB checks, MP1 bets</font>, MP2 raises</font>, Hero 3-bets</font>, SB folds, MP1 calls $3.50 (All-In), MP2 caps</font>, Hero calls.

Would prefer to know how aggressive MP2 really is, but this could be a flush draw and with TPTK and position I should be aggressive here ... yes?

Turn: (9.87 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)</font>
MP2 checks, Hero bets</font>, MP2 calls.

Dry side pot, protected, don't like the King, but I still think this is a bet ... Yes?

River: (11.87 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)</font>
MP2 checks, Hero bets</font>, MP2 calls.

Flush doesn't come in. Maybe I should have checked?

Final Pot: 13.87 BB

I don't see a problem with this particular hand.

24. But don't worry I'm going to be selective. Probably just post a couple. Maybe this hand isn't terribly interesting. I think it is pretty close to standard but then perhaps I am wrong, which is why I posted it. Check to see if what I think is obvious is indeed obvious. Tomorrow's will start to be less standard.

This hand definitely seems standard especially with one dude going all in.

MP2 pulling the cap, c/c definitely looks like a FD.

I like the hand.

Do people normally preview their hand posts to see what it looks like before submitting? When it comes out all [censored] up, you guys know that you can edit right?

Some of the stuff is converting and some is not. I'll try and clean it up.

Don't worry about it now, but next time you use that converter, make sure that you have 2+2 Forums selected in the formatting tab.

What would be the merit to checking behind on the river? Get another bet out of MP2. He is definitely behind in the hand unless he sees monsters under the bed with your possible holding of KK/QQ. You played it just fine.

Appreciate the response. The comment about the check was, do I have to consider that only a better hand (with a King) calls here. How often will worse hands call here after the action? Is this a profitable bet in and of itself? I believe I should be betting, but wanted to double check to see if this was correct. Thanks.
