I was out of sorts with this hand. All comments welcome.

MP2 is a 34/22/3.2 after 49 hands.
SB is 78/2/0.2 after about 48 hands.

2 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (12 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB bets, BB calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (12 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls.

River: (16 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)

why did you decide to not 3-bet preflop? i'm folding that river. i think SB has 2 pair and MP has a slowplayed set.

I didn't want to drive out the limpers. SSHE does rec. coldcalling here, doesn't it?

it says cold calling is fine, i was just asking (playing too much 6-max maybe) but usually limpers- once they're in, they're seeing the flop regardless.

I cold call with AQo but usually three bet with AQs, dont worry about people dropping out of the pot, i dont think they will and if they do that is just more dead money in the pot.

And yes i fold on that river, i cant see you having the best hand

SB seemed to be leading out a lot for being so passive. It's a tough fold, but seems to be the right play.

you really need to three bet here PF to hopefully Isolate the aggro dude. I think the hand plays much different from there.

as is you have to fold the river, I really don't see what you're beating there and there is a good possibility that it could get three bet

OK, thanks for the replies. I do need to work myself away from being totally bookish when I play. It's good to hear exceptions from the rule pointed out to me.

I did fold the river... and the best hand. SB had Q4 and MP had Ax w/ no match on the board. It made my stomach twist.
