Default The Graphics at Absolute are....

The Graphics at Absolute are....
.... as bad as any I've seen.
My first day there - decent action but after displaying a table I can't wait to leave. Chairs, small tables, images, carpeting, colors - they're all bad.
I have to disable the sound too because of the constant clatter leaving me no "your turn" warning signal.
Any solutions???

Never played there, so I dont know if you are able to change the audio visual stuff there, like you cant at UB or TGC but if you are..

if the games are to your liking it might be worth the hour or two to change all the graphics with Photoshop, and if you really want sounds just switch them (changing the new files to the original name of course) with the sounds you dont hate from another poker site. If the sound files arent close to the same size however this causes some programs to freak out, same goes for the graphics, just a warning.

this bugs me a lot about their site also.
(same deal with pokerroom as I recall)

on sites like party and stars and true I can turn-off the animations so I am pretty much just left with the 'your-turn' beeping which I have come to rely on.

At absolute the noises are all or nothing.

obviously you're not the first to complain about the color-scheme at absolute (old or new versions). I honestly am not bothered by it.
It's not the prettiest in the world...but it's not like it's giving me epileptic seizures or anything (as seems to be the case for some around here given how much they say they just can't look at it or play there at all because of it)

I hate the graphics and find it hard to play there for very long. I have been looking for a solution, and the answer seems to be that there is none. There have been several threads on this, all with the same answer.

You can modify the table, background, etc, at Party skins and other sites because these are graphic files stored on your compter. Absolute works differently (I'm not computer literate enough to explain the previous discussions on this), and user mods to the graphics are not possible.

Do they have an air-horn klaxon like Pacific Poker?

I don't mind the graphics (maybe I just have no taste...), and I keep the sound turned off anyway; I don't really need the beeps. But one thing that does bug me is the stability of the client; since the last "upgrade", I've had tables suddenly close for no apparent reason. At one point, during a couple of tournaments (one SNG and one MTT), one of the tables vanished, the lobby wouldn't restore (it was minimized, and clicking on the icon in the task bar didn't do anything, nor did 'right-click, restore' work), and I had to kill the bloody thing via Task Manager and then restart it, then jump back into my tournaments. This happened a couple of times that evening. But it didn't happen last night; I don't recall getting an upgrade since I saw the problem. I suppose I might have had other apps running, and the client reacted badly when memory got tight; I'm going to see if I can figure out how to reproduce it and then complain to support.
