[quote}I think there's very little chance you are ahead at this point in the hand.

Then you are pretty much arguing for check and fold because even if I get my flush, it's probably not good assuming UTG is on a draw. I can't assume he might have me beat on the turn and then get all fuzzy about making my T high flush on the river when a 4th Club hits.

Um .. no I'm arguing for a check. You're in last position. Don't fold if a club (or another T) hits because you might have a chance to win the pot. I'm sorry, but this is almost an automatic check.

Just for your information, there's a pretty good discussion of a few situations similar to this in HPFAP starting on page 139. Not exact, but well worth reading/re-reading.

The hand still isn't as clear to me as it is to you, but I think that's because I was giving myself a little more credit for still being ahead then you are and at least some possibility of also getting at least one fold if I was (maybe incorrectly).

Perhaps a more interesting question is this one.

If you bet the flop with less than top pair and run into resistance, when should you follow up with a turn bet if it's checked to you?

I also am not good at handling situations like that. I find it hard to put a villian like that on a hand. Gotta get better at applying my reads.

I'll re read that secion on the metro next week.
