Default Foxwoods Follies... the 2+2 edition: $5-10 kill game

Last night somehow my drunken friends and my equally drunken self found our way to Foxwoods. I try to only play low limits in these conditions so I sat at the $5-$10 kill game.

After being up a few hundred in a few hours, one of the players next to me figures out that I'm on this site and we start chatting as we continue to drink.

And this hand came up.

Some guy limps.
2+2 completes in the small blind.
I have Qx in the big blind.

Flop comes

Q-x-x with one [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

He checks.
I bet.
Limper folds.
2+2'er calls.

Pot: 5 small bets / 2.5 big bets

Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet, he calls.

River: X [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bets out, I raise, he three-bets, and I figure he has a bigger kicker on his Q so I just call and he flips up [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

And I'm not even going to say anything when he says, "If you talk about this hand, I'm going to say the whole table limped so I had the odds to chase my runner-runner."

Priceless.

Foxwoods ahoy.

Hey, it was justified by my saying "just this once" on the flop. I had to combat my tight-weak but semi-competent postflop image by giving the illusion that I was not, in fact, even the slightest bit competent either pre- or psot-flop.

And were you at the table when the 8s accidentally capped it preflop, after MY EP raise and our swearing friend's threebet with 94o.. and won? That was golden.

Table image is far more important beyond these low limit games; far be it that I think anyone at the table was paying attention but the two of us.

Also, the guy that resembled Grissom from CSI:Las Vegas was a bit of a bitch when it came to side bets. He offered me $5 to divulge the contents of a hand.. I haggled my way up to $7.50 (yes, I'm that much of a whore) but we never shook, so I refused to tell him. The same thing occured later on for another $5. He also made about 3 side bets with the other annoying guy in the 6s at the start of my session, including a 5 minute discussion of whether or not it's appropriate to wager on the over/under of the contents of another man's pockets.

For what it's worth, he claimed to have won $2500 playing the under on total runs in that night's NYY-BOS game at 11, so he was up about $2100 on the night at that point.

Exactly. If I knew there was another 2+2er at my table I wouldn't let them know, who I was. I'd simply adjust accordingly.

If I'm playing a ow limit and drinking as I play, then talking about 2+2 probably isn't making anything worse.
