Default Dodge the situation?

Im new to sng's..... here is my situation:

party 30+3

blinds 50/100 I have about an average stack at 1k chips. 6 or 7 people left, can't remember which.

Folds to somoene in lp, they raise to 300 (850).

Im in the sb with Ak, i push....

It seemed like an easy move at the time, but after I thought about it, I realized I pretty much gave up my fold equity.

Is this the right play? Or do I need to wait for a clearer path and steal?

It depends. It's definitely push/fold when you don't have position, but how many players left? What are stack sizes?

Woops, I meant to say how many were left but somehow left it out. There were either 6 or 7 of us left.
