I do too, but that's because the answer was Ryan Leaf.

Bush's going to be an all-time great and he's the type of player that can turn a franchise around (and fill seats).

Not only is he more talented than anyone out there, he's also smarter.

give him the Heisman right now.

When was the last time it was this clear who the best player in college football is? I don't remember any other recent Heisman races being such a no-brainer.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would argue that THIS race isn't a no-brainer.

The last time it was clear-cut was Ron Dayne in 1999. Ricky Williams in 1998 was also obvious.

You would argue this, but you'd be wrong.

The largest Heisman victory was in 1968, when Southern California's O.J. Simpson beat Purdue's Leroy Keyes by 1,750 points.

On three other occasions, the margin was more than 1,500 points.

In '93, Charlie Ward won the Heisman by 1,622 points over Heath Shuler; in '91, Desmond Howard won by 1,574 points over Casey Weldon; and in '86, Vinny Testaverde won by 1,541 points over Paul Palmer.

So, probably Ricky Williams.

So I looked it up on Tradesports and Reggie Bush is around 65% to win, which is higher than I thought it was. That's still not close to a lock, but I figured it would be around 45%, so I was way off.

(Punker, Ron Dayne won by over 1000 points too the year after Ricky Williams.)

As I said on Oct. 22 -- it turns out the last time a player got this many votes was O.J. Simpson.

Landslide.

I heard that he was not on all the ballots, whoever left him off their ballot should have their vote taken away.
