Default carnival games

How many here play Crazy 4 Poker?
Or 4 card poker?

I've done pretty well on them though you can have some big swings - the swings in the +EV direction make it fun.

There's nothing +EV about the game.

Bob,
I know there isn't in reality - that's the sort of games they are. But it seems like usually you can sit there for a long time and do okay, and it's mindless and relaxing. It's when people start pressing their bets way up on the odds bet that they either win really big or really lose all at once.

A startling revelation in gambling theory! Bigger bets = bigger variance!

If you have fun playing a -EV game and can afford to lose, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Enjoy!

Playing *any* game where the casino has *any* edge is -EV. Including BJ.
But like you said, if you have fun playing an -EV game and can afford to lose, enjoy!
