Default AA in unusual situation

Here's the history: I sat down at this table 4 hands ago. I posted in CO and got AA. A couple limpers, and Maniac (who is now the BB) raised to $15. I reraised to $30. He pushed, and I autocalled. He had 99. Just about the easiest $200 I've ever made.

Next hand, Maniac goes all in with KQo, gets called by some other idiot with J8s, and the maniac wins. Hand after that, he bets $50 into a $3 pot and everyone folds.

So now, I get AA again in MP. It's folded to me. I raised to $8, hoping to get reraised. Anybody have a better line for pre or post-flop?

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (10 handed) converter

Button ($210.75)
SB ($123.75)
BB ($97.00)
UTG ($97.50)
UTG+1 ($260.00)
Hero ($402.00)
MP1 ($97.00)
MP2 ($198.00)
MP3 ($231.00)
CO ($164.00)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1. BB posts a blind of $2.

Flop: ($33) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, Hero checks, MP1 checks, CO checks.

With so few draws, I went for a check raise.

Turn: ($33) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $22</font>

Anybody bet more or less here?

Flop check is suspicious to me, as the board is so NOT scary that it would seem to me that only monsters wouldn't bet it. If you had AK, wouldn't you bet this flop and hope to take the pot down. I think if someone has the J they might raise you to find out your strength. I don't like waiting until the turn to bet, since no one will call without an ace here. I hate to check the turn as well, but now you are leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else and unlikely to get a caller.
