Default When is it not worth taking an add-on?

At the first break, I'm sitting on 34k in the Stars $3+R thanks to some good cards and a lot of donks. Top 15 with 1300+ players left. Avg stack is ~7K, 2nd highest stack at my table has ~16k.

I'm taking the 2,000 chip add-on because it's $3, however is this a situation wherever the 2K chips is so insignificant that I don't really need to take the add-on?
