Any suggestions on how I can get her to see the light

No. You are doomed to fail and make both of you miserable. Give up, don't play with her, don't ask how she did, just let her do it how she wants.

Well said. Also, sometimes nagging someone just sort of feeds the fire of their behavior - sort of reinforces what their doing. Makes them even more determined to do it. Let it go.

WHILE AT THE TABLE JUST PUT HER INTO THE FRYING PAN AND HAVE A NICE MEAL.OR BEAT A DEAD HORSE FOR WHAT REASON? ME AND MY WIFE DO NOT ALWAYS AGREE BUT WE DO ACCEPT EACH OTHER.
PS. GIVE HER A ROLL OR TWO PENNYS, POINT HER TO THE PROPER TABLE, PAT HER ON THE BUTT AND TELL HER TO HAVE FUN

Thanks everybody for the wonderful feedback. I am lucky that my wife likes to play poker sometimes, and am truly blessed that she tolerates my compulsion about the game From now on tho I'll not get upset with the inevatable bad plays, and just offer friendly suggestions from time to time, and enjoy our times together at the tables.

Look at it this way. If she became a decent, serious player, all she'd do is complain about bad beats!

Although so many have already replied to the OP...

One of 2 things has to happen: Either your wife starts to play seriously, or she quits poker. Otherwise, the hobby will become a big money loser, which is only acceptable if you are among the very wealthy and a buy in at 3/6 is like the cost of a hot dog for the rest of us.

My gf plays poker at home games with me every so often, and she transitioned from a fish to extraordinarily weak-tight. She lays down A-high flushes because the board pairs on the river, and sometimes miss reads the board and doesn't see that she has a boat (mucks it) when some dipshit says "straight!" at showdown. It doesn't make me angry, but I feel sorry for her because I couldn't live with myself if I made those same mistakes. Fortunately, these home games are usually $10-20 buy-ins so it's no big deal if she loses the money.

I think some girls just have a thing about winning at a "mans" sport. Women aren't supposed to be competitive, they're supposed to giggle and make sandwiches. I've seen many of my smart girlfriends just refuse to catch on to a winning game because they're stuck in dip$hit mode.
